Cubs all-the-way patchThe Festival begins with BINGO on Friday night from 6-10pm sponsored by October 3-5, the Uptown Multi-Cultural Art Center presents T-shirt Art from 1989-2008 – twenty years of art on T-shirts with two days of live rockin' music. This year ART-ACT V, the fifth Anti-Racist T-shirt Art Contest Tour, is showing its latest two-year collection of pro-diversity art. This work will be added to the growing mountain of visual art in support of diversity on-line at art-teez.org after being judged at the festival with the public invited to participate. Cubs & Sox patches are free to everyone.

This year's ART-ACT V winners will be determined while surrounded by art at the T-shirt Art Harvest Festival on Sunday from 1-2pm. The public is invited to add their opinions for posting on-line with the art at art-teez.org during this time.

Sox all-the-way patchThe Festival begins with BINGO on Friday night from 6-10pm sponsored by the American Indian Center. Saturday and Sunday you will find a full day of free music, food, and art to entertain you. Bring a light colored t-shirt and we will print an "All the way in 08" patch on the pocket area for either the Cubs or the Sox. Both teams are contending this year and an artist has made a design for each (crossing our fingers for the Sox).

The "Free Speech Art Movement" continues. Led by screen-print artists who accuse the City of Chicago of enforcing illegal municipal codes that deny artists and citizens their complete free speech rights. An art-action is planned for at the Daley Center Plaza under the Picasso from 11-2 on Friday, October 3th 2008.

On Saturday at 1:00 pm there will be a Speak-Out on artists First Amendment rights to sell art on the street at the T-shirt Art Harvest Festival. Artists and citizens of Chicago are invited to speak to the topic. Following the speak-out, is a meeting of the Chicago Free Speech Art Movement. Artists and the public are invited. We urge you to send your story of being denied or frustrated-out-of your right to sell your speech/art to >umcac@art-teez.org.

Increase the creative spaces in Chicago. Support art in public. Wear your art!
