| The 17th annual T-shirt Art Harvest Festival is connecting its Chicago visual artists with Chicago musicians to create a magic mixture of creative exuberance for a weekend of fun at the American Indian Center - 1630 W. Wilson Avenue. When the T-shirt Art Harvest Festival entertains the public with free admis-sion October 13-15, Chicago musicians will participate by playing their music throughout the weekend. Artwork on t-shirts saved from 18 years of exhibitions will hang with the entries and winners from ART-ACT, the Anti-Racist T-shirt Art Contest Tour, an international contest with a theme of pro-diversity art for t-shirts. The bands will exhibit and sell their group t-shirts and CDs. Artists will line the sidewalks with art for sale. T-shirt art will, also be available for sale and as door prizes at this free event. It is the destiny of Chicago's popular T-shirt Art Harvest Festival exhibit to connect with Chicago's pop music scene," says C. Drew - the exhibit's founder. "When Chicago visual artists and musicians mix expect rocking designs and foot stomping times," he adds. The show opens Friday October 13th at 6:30pm with free food and wearable eye-candy for dessert. At 7:30pm a Native drum will open up the weekend of bands. Saturday the exhibit opens at 12:00 noon with music from 1:00-10:00pm. Sunday the exhibit opens at 1:00 and music flows from 2:00-8:00pm. On Saturday and Sunday an artists market will fill the sidewalk outside with excitement. Bring a t-shirt or any cotton article of clothing on Saturday afternoon from 2-4pm for the free screen print art demonstration and walk away with free wearable art.
