1) THANK YOU TO SUBMITTING ARTISTS

There is just one month to go before the ART-ACT II deadline. Any entries
after August 1st will be entered in ART-ACT III.

Thanks again for building a response to hatred with your art. More and more
people will recognize that this is a valid forum. We are building this so
you
and your work can receive attention from an international audience.

Because we are a group of community artists struggling for a voice, we value
your expressions. We promise to post your expressions as long as you
want us to.

We will continue to post your statements and links to your other art on the
Internet as you inform us. We are here to serve artists.

2) NEW ART FOR ART-ACT II

Artists globally have submitted the following images on the theme of
"anti-racism" or "pro-diversity" since the last issue of ART-ACT Notes.

LATEST ACTIONS - Exhibit Without Walls

The ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls began a month ago on May 29th
in Anne Arbor, MI where I attended the BAMN (By Any Means
Necessary - www.bamn.com) Student Conference in support of Affirmative
Action. BAMN is organizing to defend the University of Michigan Affirmative
Action policy which comes before the Supreme Court this October. Affirmative

Action is a policy that recognizes that a diverse student body is needed to
have the diversity of opinions and thinking that makes for a better
learning environment. It is also only fair that all people in our society
have access to higher education. You can support diversity on U.S.
campuses by visiting http://www.bamn.com/supreme-court.htm and
filling out their petition. This was a fitting event at which to launch
the ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls.

Last Saturday, I took the ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls to the summer
postcard art show at the Wood Street Gallery, 1229 N. Wood Street in
Chicago. Nearly 100 artists were exhibiting there and I passed out over
200 ART-ACT images that afternoon. The patrons were very receptive.
Imagine what we could do with 15-20 volunteers at a big outdoor event.
Artists, we are getting your art around.

Our cable TV show here in Chicago begins Monday, July 8th at 8:00 on
Channel 21. We will feature ART-ACT. The ART-ACT Exhibit
Without Walls will continue to appear by surprise at local venues like
college campuses. Read about the Exhibit Without Walls adventures here.

ARTISTS - MONEY?
Our plan is to promote the ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls art heavily.
Visit http://www.art-teez.org/no_walls.htm to see the Exhibit Without Walls images.
If you have an image in ART-ACT please printout and send us your
license agreement so we can start making you some money.
Artists - you get $2 for every retail sale of your t-shirt design.
If we do not have your license agreement we can't sell your art.

Your many pens - are stronger than the swords! Thank You!

3. WEB SITE DEVELOPMENTS

A. Finances .

The ART-ACT pages have a new look. I broke up the long link pages
into smaller faster downloading pages. I, also, added a text-only link page
for those who want to see all the entries on one page without a
massive download.

http://www.art-teez.org/ara_art2_txt.htm

I have begun the process of adding forms to our site to
encourage interaction with the public. This will take some
time and will - likely - only be realized during the
ART-ACT III period.

ARTISTS - Sell Your Art
Go to http://www.art-teez.org/license.htm to printout, fill out and send to
us a signed license agreement to market your art on T-shirts. You
receive $2.00 per t-shirt sold. We will be promoting the art we have
licensed with increasing intensity in the coming months and years.
