1) THANK YOU TO SUBMITTING ARTISTS

Thanks again for building a response to hatred. More and more people will
recognize that this is a valid forum. We are building this so you and your
work can receive attention from an international audience.

Because we are a group of community artists struggling for a voice we value
your expressions. We promise to post your expressions as long as you
want us to.

We will continue to post your statements and links to your other art on the
Internet as you inform us. We are here to serve artists.

LATEST ACTIONS - Exhibit Without Walls

ART-ACT is not just a virtual exhibit any more. I tested again a technique
we have used occasionally since 1993. That year we went all-out to present
our "Art of the T-shirt" exhibit at the Chicago Cultural Center. When, this
two month long exhibit (see http://www.art-teez.org/list.htm for our exhibit
history) was cut short (politics) it moved to the Daley Center, a better
spot with more of our target market traffic, average people coming to take
care of legal or city business. This was a blessing in disguise. It gave us
the opportunity once again to post the little fliers around the loop with
the t-shirt art images from our screen print workshop for artists. This was
the second time we promoted this exhibit in this manner that fall.

Those quarter sheet (1/4 letter size or 4.25"X5.5") fliers dominated by a
piece of art with text around it were a success. They were the right size to
pass them out to people as well as to post easily on poles or many other
places. In those days rumblings of a thing called the Internet were being
heard but it was not within reach of the average artist on the street.

Looking back it is a natural evolution. Our t-shirt art exhibits are 13
years old. Our Screen Print Workshop for artists 9 and our website is five
years old. After establishing ART-ACT for three years (going on four), the
graphic images of ART-ACT are now able to come full circle and become an
exhibit of 24 or more images on quarter sheet fliers that can promote its
website location on campuses locally. We intend to move forward using the
art from ART-ACT and from our Screen Print Workshop to make "Exhibits
Without Walls" with which to promote our website.

The art presently in "ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls" can be seen at
http://www.art-teez.org/no_walls1.htm

We will pass-out, post, and leave fliers all around the Chicago. We have not
stressed our need to use the art to promote the art and I will be doing this
in a separate letter to artists. In that letter I will stress artists work
that is granted this extended promotion should be licensed to us to sell
t-shirts so they can take full advantage of our efforts. We will pay the
artist $2 for every t-shirt we sell.

Your many pens - are stronger than the swords! Thank You!

3. WEB SITE DEVELOPMENTS

A. Finances .

Why so long without an ART-ACT Notes? Because this is a volunteer effort
and a project within other projects. This grass-roots arts agency staffed by
volunteers builds toward all its goals with patience.

I am proud to announce that our Financial Policies and Procedures Manual is
on-line. For those who want to see how we are using Peachtree Accounting
Software or who want to make a manual for their own organization it is found
at

http://www.art-teez.org/099_front_page.htm

Also posted as part of our on-going financial reporting is or last quarter's
financial figures
http://www.art-teez.org/accounting_tutorial/income.htm

and last quarter's T-shirt Art sales by artist.
