THE PLAN
First hit local colleges well seeking volunteers online. Then shoot wide shots around the country. Then get out and visit local colleges seeking volunteers. Continue building links to related sites and seeking reciprocity. Stress our Screen Print Workshop for Artists as our functioning program. Seek support and grow slowly with or without support. We will not be stopped!
Our minimum prize of $500 is announced on our site. We completed our exhibit season last weekend. We served notice that ART-ACT and our Website are our priorities. Artists, funders and the communities we have shown in for ten years know now the extent of our public exhibits depends on the total of all their contributions to continue. We promise the "T-shirt Art Harvest Festival" shall continue while we build our venture to support our community art activities. All other community exhibits are postponed pending their support. Thus, we will still be Chicago's only annual exhibit of art on T-shirts.
By becoming a volunteer editor of a category I instigated in the Open Directory Project - the Directory used by HotBot, Lycos and Netscape, I have gained our t-shirt initiatives added public visibility. This category is On-Line T-shirt Galleries, "Online Galleries: T-Shirt Art Galleries" existed at URL http://www.dmoz.org/ until eliminated in directory shuffleboard games. This is an example of a way to promote your site. It seemed work intensive looking back.
Thanks for reading of us as we grow.
