Use us to promote your rally or political event on your campus. E-amil us about a sample package for your group. It consists of 7 original 8.5" X 11" layouts of the art fliers and your announcement on a layout page that you can use to make two sided copies for cutting and distribution at our cost to you - $10. For your convienience and $5 each set, we will do the copying, cutting, and collating to provide ready to distribute "Exhibit Without Walls" sets (28 images/set) with your copy on the back of each. We will link to all participating groups with a web site. We get between 20,000 - 26,000 hits a week (www.art-teez.org/ara_art2.htm) and growing. Good Luck. INSTRUCTIONS ART-ACT EXHIBIT WITHOUT WALLS To "present" an ART-ACT EXHIBIT WITHOUT WALLS one or more persons should stand at busy intersections on campus and pass out the artworks (mini-fliers) to everyone who passes and accepts them. I often repeat the phrase "Free Art" or "Art exhibit without walls" or "Everyone is different." The art and the fliers small size break down the usual resistance to handouts and makes it more fun for volunteers. When someone stops to ask what it is about - they may explain it is an art exhibit with a pro-diversity theme with an announcement of your event on the back. Stress these artists support diversity and explain your own event or agenda. Or a different image can by placed on every table at your student union thus showing all the images in the ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls making the morning coffee an informal exhibit with your message onthe back. What other ways can you imagine to use this work to create a discussion. Students will be seen walking from table to table to see all the different images. Your conference will capture imaginations on campus. You may come up with other ways to post and pass out these images to create interest in your activities. UNLIMITED NOT-FOR-PROFIT USE GRANTED The original copies of the art exhibit fliers are included so you may copy them and cut them in quarters for distribution. Copy the fronts then copy your message on the back. You will need to change the light/dark setting of the copier to get the best image possible. Cut them carefully, 3-5 sheets at a time, on a manual paper cutter. Sort them into complete exhibits (1 of each of the 24 designs) and pass them out. We only ask that you use the original images so our non-profit's web site and the artists in this exhibit get exposure in this exchange. This is a win-win idea! You may change the message on the back to speak about a rally or any other event you wish to promote. You can edit out images you deem inappropriate to your cause although I suggest leaving the exhibit intact for the reason of achieving a greater discussion. You can give exhibits to high school representatives to do an ART-ACT Exhibit Without Walls at their high schools to promote your up-coming organizing events. Organize the Artists you Meet! ART-ACT is on-going. We encourage you to encourage artists to enter by visiting the webpage mentioned on the fliers. If sponsor an artist's work - that is encourage, scan and e-mail us their art and bio - we will include on their ART-ACT page a link to your website. This is a great opportunity to promote your site and activities by urging artists to submit appropriate art to our contest. Good luck. We ask for a donation of $10 for mailing costs. For our basic package, a check in the mail with a request on your organization's letterhead is all that is needed. For ready to distribute "Exhibit Without Walls" sets we need payment in advance of filling the order. Please send payment with a request on your organization's letterhead one month ahead of your desired receipt date to allow our volunteers time to serve you well. All rights reserved © 2001 Uptown Multi-Cultural Art Center (UM-CAC).
