This is a three screen print. Screen order when printing wet on wet is important. The three screens in order of printing are a split screen with gold-yellow top and green below, then prints red and finally blue. In the blue I often add dabs of white ink with a little piece of card to create cloud effects. A "split-screen" is a screen printed with two or more different colors of ink at once. Rainbow effects occur along the length of the squeegee as it is pulled across the screen. The sunlit upper buildings and the shadowed lower portions are achieved well by the gold and green split-screen pull.
There is an earlier version of this design that many people like which is more drab with the colors of a dollar bill. Maybe some day I will add it to this site, as well.
Screen printing in the hands of an artist is not just a technical skill - it is an art.
