America Bless God

This was a three screen run. The first screen printed was the red of the flag. The second
screen was the blue of the flag in registration with the red and overlapping the red on the
pole for a third color. Finally I printed the "split fountain" screen with black at
the top for the text "America Bless God" transcending to blue with clouds and
occasional red added to white ink to separate the land and sky to yellows with blue and
red mixed to make golds and greens and action.

The theme is from a phrase from Rev. Jesse Jackson's speeches during the first days of
President select Bush's wars against his oil friends' enemies. Rev Jackson substituted
"America bless God" for "God bless America" that Bush's fans were shouting
mindlessly, reacting out of revenge without thought to alternative policy or the lives of
innocent others world-wide. To read how I print a split fountain screen click here.

Screen printing in the hands of an artist is not just a technical skill - it is an art.
