Artist's Statement

Harvesting the Universe Tarot

A Work in Progress

Following is a small, random selection of images from my Harvesting The Universe Tarot. I began working on it in 1996 as a way to immerse myself in TheTarot and also to counter-act the patriarchal attitudes I found built into the traditional Tarot interpretations. This is a work of feminism, but not feminism at the expense of males. It has come full circle, embracing all of humanity. Patriarchy hurts all people---male and female. This work represents my own feminist self-healing reaching the point of turning outwards, to others. It is my attempt to help heal humanity’s ancient wounds by becoming a conduit to the Energy of the Universe, directing the Healing Flow of Energy to any who are receptive. It is a gift from the Cosmos that I value enough to give back.
