Artist's Statement
If Not First A Dream Oil on canvas 1996: 18" x 24"
We must dream or envision the future before we can create it. If we
do not have some vision of what can be strived for, then we cannot
reach beyond what we know and we become stuck, we cannot act. We
feel powerless and adrift. We become vulnerable to the manipulations
of others. With a dream, with a vision, we have hope and direction.
We empower ourselves to change.
