About the Artist
I am 18 years old. Born in southern California, but raised, however, in a very small, central Californian, mountain town. Growing up in this prominantly white town, gave a lot of the people there a very narrow perspective on life. For instance, people would proudly represent the confederate flag, by attaching it to the back of their trucks. Of course half of these people, when asked "if they knew what the flag meant?" wouldn't have an answer. So the main reason I wanted to enter this contest, was because I thought it was cool that we could have a chance to educate people, about all the hate that's going on, by putting our art on T-shirts, the item almost everyone wears, and sees.

Mainly, I watercolor, and sketch. I have done a few murals in my hometown, which have been awesome to do! What I paint or draw comes from whatever I'm feeling at the time. It varies really. I use painting as a way to just kind of kick back and see what I'm thinking, and feeling on paper.
