Artist's Bio

Age 25 (in 2007). I live in Idaho (and hate it). I work as a freelance artist. I hateracism as much as anyone. So after looking at some of the other entries I couldn’t resist making my entry, because I think that some of the art is so cheesy and self-righteous that it makes you, just for a second, feel ashamed to be anti racist. So if you're offended by it, I'm sorry... you’re a dirty hippie. So go take a bath, stop smoking pot, put on some shoes, don’t rant endlessly about all of your grievances with society to everyone you meet, and remember being a dirty hippie is not a race it is a choice. P.S. YES, I do appreciate the irony of how self-righteous my entry is and the fact I followed it up with a rant.

I get it, you're the cowboy and others who differ with you are the "dirty hippie." And you are not racist because you say so and because "hippie" is a slang word and not a race, right?

Yes, I believe that those who killed Chaney, Goodman and Schwarner in Mississippi would get a good laugh over this cartoon. You have captured their hatred well.

In the social make-up that is America we know clearly where you stand. You stand with the people who hate the long haired youth of yesterday for standing up for civil rights and against a pointless war. You stand with the those who have exploited cowboy culture depicting Native Americans as stereotypes and pictured the hard working whiteman as politically separate from other hard working men - including the hardworking hippie.

You added four unrelated issues to distract and to polarize your constituency against the "white race traiter" you call "dirty hippie." You think it will fool people that your hate is not racist because "hippie" is not a race. Your logic may work in the absence of any historical and cultural understanding of America but we all know where you are coming from. On that note I hope that your contribution will inspire others to react with creative comments (word or image) to help us continue to build this anti-racist forum. Thank you.
