Artist's Statement

Love can conquer all... and hate can do the same?

You love with your eyes wide open and hate with them wide shut. I have created a piece that people will be able to look at and realize that racism can be beaten because love will always conquer all and although there are times at which the hate one can have for a particular race will seem to overcome all human feelings of compassion there will always be the incredibly simplistic yet complex love a mother feels for her child. Racism will someday be conquered by the power of love and compassion and one must always remember that.
