Artist's Statement

My name is Jasmine Rogers and I am in the sixth grade. I'm 12 years old. When I grow up I want to be an artist because I love to sketch. Anything I think of - I draw it. Most of all I like to draw people and I'm really good at it.

I'm also good at drawing trees. That's why I'm in the Earth Day art contest.

The first art contest and the only contest I won was called the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Contest. Art is something I enjoy doing and that is why I want to be an artist when I grow up.
