Artist's Statement

I am currently a senior at Tri-Central High School. I enjoy playing sports and taking pictures. I plan on attending Indiana Wesleyan next year. I plan on majoring in photography and minoring in mission overseas.

My picture represents a major problem in our society today. People tend to assume that all people that aren't their own race are bad people. When people see a black man at night they automatically assume that they are going to get robbed or hurt. But if that same black man is with someone of their own race they are going to be safe.

If love can see through the boundries we put up with color then i don't see how it can be so hard to see past color in any other situation that is a necessity for our survival.
