Artist's Statement
Bio:
Hi my name is Rolfe Bautista. I am currently living
in Ft. Collins Colorado. I just finished high school
and i am about to start college at colorado state university
as a bachelor of finearts with a concentration on graphic design.
As long as i can remember i have been doing art. Art is my passion and
it is my life. I am working hard with my art and someday
i hope to work for pixar or disney.
About the artwork:
title: unified individuality
This entry i am sending in is how i espressed the diversity
and individuality of people by the way that they dress. Different
cultures around the world have different types of dress and these are
just a few of them. This image really shows that even though people
are very similar we all have different ways of expressing ourselves.
Starting with the female the top portion is the
typical headress for the women of the middle eastern cultures. The
middle portion is a kimono from japanese culture. The bottom are
jeans and cowboy boots common to the western cultures. For the
male on the top portion he is dressed in an african cap and coat. The
middle prtion is a bussiness suit which is more of western culture
but is more typical to a more formal work type of enviornment. Finally
the bottom portion of the man is a kilt which comes from the Scotlands
culture.
thank you
