Artist's Bio and Statement

ARTIST'S BIO
Daniel Becker is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Barat Education Foundation in Lake Forest, IL, Adjunct Professor in Studio Arts for Barat College of DePaul University, and Faculty Adviser for the College's Student Newspaper. When he isn't creating publications or brochures, he spends his time designing artwork via the electronic medium. The 38-year-old father of 3 is a resident of Gurnee, Illinois.< br>

ARTIST'S STATEMENT
"Expect Respect " is the piece I designed for ART-ACT. The multi-cultural colors of the individuals are represented in the structures in the skyline. The buildings "work" with one another to create a larger piece: "a harmonic skyline." The buildings do not clash. The buildings do not oppose. They, as individuals, create one unique body of work. As should we.
