Racism by Sarah Neumann

Racism by Sarah Neumann

Artist's Statement
My name's Sarah Neumann, I'm 18 yrs old. I was born in the Czech Republic and now
live in Canada. The purpose of my design is to show how natural it should be to
love people of all different colors and races. The design is directed towards the
younger generation, and is meant to highlight the positive aspects of multiculturalism
in today's society. I think a light, hip design such as this one, which includes
many smiling faces, often achieves better results than if one were to focus on the
negative side of the issue, racism. As sad as it is, seriousness often scares people
away, or gets set aside in a separate category of one's consciousness reserved for
mellow, rainy day ponderings. We should be continually working to acheive such a
beautiful pallette of people. I sincerely hope that some day it will not just be
some crazy idealization.
