Crayola by Kristina M. Segen

Artist's Statement
I, Kristina M. Segen, am a senior graphic design student with a specialization in
computer graphics at The College of NJ. I feel that racism, unfortunately is something
learned at at young age and I wanted to portray a simple message that the youngest of
minds could comprehend. The vibrant colors and analogy to a box of crayons are also
supposed to appeal to the younger audience. America (and the world), like a box of
crayons, is made up of many different colors, and that is what makes life so special.
The key to terminating racism is to stop future generations from learning it.
