Artist's Statement
Irene Marie P. Flores lives in Silver Spring, Maryland. She has had a huge interest in various forms of art since she was three. After serving as a student television producer for her high school (Montogmery Blair High School, Silver Spring, MD) Irene has developed a great interest in video, film and imaging. She plans to continue studying these mediums at the University of Maryland (Baltimore County). In her spare time Irene loves to join art contests that send helpful messages to others. She feels that this is a great way to practice her artistic skills and serve the community. In her works Irene always stresses the importance of diversity no matter what the theme of the contest is. She feels that understanding the importance of diversity is one of the largest barriers keeping peace from this world.
