The Names of winners accepting their prizes will be perminently post on our site and their art perminantly posted. Black and White winners must sign a license agreement in order to claim their prize, allowing us to sell their art on t-shirts for which we will pay the artist $2 per retail sale and $1 per wholesale sale per t-shirt sold. Our goal is to build a mountain of visual evidence in support of diversity and against racism. We will report to you our efforts promoting your art in ART-ACT Notes. Help us get the ball rolling by entering early. Check back monthly to see this contest grow. As a 501(c)(3) Federal Tax Exempt non-profit organization we invite contributions, cash or in-kind donations which we can auction to raise money for prizes. Click here to help promote this contest and to help raise money for prizes. Why the Limitation to graphic designs? (Art Reasons) It is an artistic challenge to render an idea with the basics. (Survival reason) Black and white designs are easy to make screens to print this art on T-shirts without spending lots of time and money. This makes it possible to award license contracts to deserving artists and to jump start our Internet business selling your t-shirt designs. Visit our License Page to download a license form. You get $2 for each retail t-shirt sold. All profits will go to support the Uptown Multi-Cultural Art Center. Yes - your art can fight racism, help to build an inner-city art center in Chicago, and pay you fees for each shirt sold! Win-win-win!!! |
