1. RECEIPTS

Open Peachtree Accounting and the company named Uptown Multi-Cultural
Art Ctr (UM-CAC). Cash receipts can be entered through the "Receipts"
window accessed on the "Tasks" main menu.

Click "Tasks" and roll your mouse down the list
to "Receipts." Click on "Receipts" and an input form will
open on your screen for you to use to record your income transactions.

Figure 12-2 In this "Receipts" screen form you can enter income transactions
from sales of T-shirt Art, Screen Printing, or donations and grants.

OVERVIEW

At present we are only using the "Receipts" window to track income because
most of our sales are cash and checks from direct sales or up front payments for
screen printing. At present we issue handwritten invoices. Soon we will print
our invoices from Peachtree Accounting. Then we will add a section on how to do
that to this document.


We should begin to explore invoicing screen printing customers through
Peachtree Software soon and build a customized invoice in Peachtree for
this purpose.


We may also consider a wholesale t-shirt art sales invoice for future sales
activity.


We should think about an Invoice Letter form to go with T-shirts ordered
from our Website or through the mail.


When these things happen - these policies will grow to reflect the changes.
For now, we hope to keep this section simple by recording income through the
"Receipts" window using the "Apply to Revenues" tab
